
Sam helped to heal the bad back I had suffered with for years. Having Pilates with Sam just once a week has made such a difference to my life and continues to keep me supple and my back pain free for the sixteen years I have seen seeing her. Sam is a friendly, encouraging, supportive teacher, who guides you through every exercise with expert tutoring. I totally recommend Sam as a Pilates teacher. 10/10

I believe it was about 20 years ago when I first discovered Pilates and Sam Sidley.
I am so grateful!
From that first session in the village hall I was hooked. Pilates is the most amazing exercise for both flexibility as well as core strength. Sam is so engaging and ensures everyone works within their own range and at their own pace. My only problem was that I travelled so much for work I couldn’t attend as many classes as I’d like.
Then along came lockdown and Sam created brilliant online classes. She leads us securely through the sessions ensuring not only can we see her clearly, but she can also see and guide us through each of the classes wherever we are.

I started with Sams classes 7 years ago in the Holmer Green village hall which were excellent to help with a neck injury. The 1-1 classes are still available once a week. I have continued her online classes which are fun and she watches us all correcting us where necessary! All her exercises have variations for those at beginner level to those requiring more. Sam is the most amazing teacher who has kept my enthusiasm for Pilates ignited. So much so, I have recommended her to several friends who have subsequently joined her classes.

I started my Pilates with Sam in February 2018. Firstly it was face-to-face in various local village halls, then when Covid arrived we switched to Pilates online via Zoom, which turned out to be highly successful.
I have continued via Zoom as this is so convenient for me and I am confident that Sam is able to check we are doing everything correctly, as she monitors us all closely on her various screens.
Sam is an experienced and highly professional teacher, she is also friendly and extremely accommodating when life gets in the way and the need to switch dates and swap classes happens. With every session we are given clear and simple instructions and each exercise has different options, depending on level and ability. Sam constantly tells us exactly what we are doing and how each particular exercise benefits our bodies. We are also corrected individually if the need arises! After each block we have a new regime so the lessons are always varied, interesting and enjoyable.
I have no doubt that Pilates with Sam has benefited me in many different ways. My posture has improved, I think my core is stronger and the hip exercises really help with my one slightly arthritic hip. Also it’s a great way to start the day, providing some structure and certainly encouraging energy and motivation!

I have been attending Sam’s classes in person and online for more than 5 years now.She is an excellent teacher and her online classes are very clear and easy to follow. She always offers adjustments to exercises to take account of shoulder problems etc.She is very flexible about changing my class booking to another day if I let her know make my usual day. Paying for a “half a term” block at a time commits me to doing Pilates regularly
